6 tablespoons butter
2 heaped tablespoons honey
½ teaspoon salt
1 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cornmeal (I used yellow precooked cornmeal)
½ teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ cup buttermilk
¼ cup sour cream
½ cup Biltong
1 bread tin
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Mix all your dry ingredients. Mix flour, cornmeal and baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in buttermilk, sour cream and honey and mix all the ingredients. Do not over mix.
Once the butter is mixed add in the biltong.
Take your baking pan and heat up the butter and our the batter in the pan and place into the oven.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of a cornbread comes out clean.
